As a guardian of Astral Chaos, Alexander was tasked with protecting the Soul Blades. He, and his brother Halcyon, were meant to keep the blades from falling into the hands of humanity. However, Alexander was careless, and Soul Edge was able to create a rift in Astral Chaos, allowing it to once again fall into the hands of humans. His brother greatly reprimanded him, and tossed Soulcalibur into the human realm as well. It was not their job to directly interfere with humans. Giving them Soulcalibur was their only way of helping them. Alexander continued to think about the event for years. He could not let it go. Over a century had passed and he knew he needed to take action.
