Soulcalibur: Astral Fates (ソウルキャリバー：アストラル・フェイト, Sourukyaribā: Asutoraru feito) is the first animated movie in the original timeline of the Astral Lineage series. It is a sequel to the video game Soulcalibur Astral Swords - A Dark Destiny, and is set to wrap up any loose ends left in the original timeline.

Plot

The Mistress enacts her ultimate plan to collect the Astral Sword, as well as the two soul swords, and become ruler of all. Blackmailing Stellar into believing that she can revive her brother, Celestial, she uses her to collect the heroes; Kisandra, Kilina, Klymene and Alexander and asks them to help collect the sword, misleading them to believe that if they do, Millicent's soul will be released from The Amulet and she will once again be alive.

During the same time, Val struggles in maintaining his life force as Soul Calibur has began to weaken. This causes his Soul Calibur shards around his neck to ware out, so he must find a way to restore power to the spirit sword as soon as possible or he will die. He sets off with Talon to locate a power sword of legend, the Astral Sword, but the journey will be more than what he expects when Talon runs in to some familiar faces and the duo get mixed up in the mess caused by The Mistress.

Will The Mistress succeed and achieve what Astra could not? Or will the heroes best her and finally live in peace? Full of twists and turns and unexpected revelations, everything has been leading up to this point. The end is nigh for our heroes.
