Cyril Cassavantes is a character in the New Timeline of the Astral Lineage series. His appearance in Soulcalibur VI will be his debut in this new timeline. He is the son of Mary and Kristos Cassavantes. By birth, he is Vampiric Royalty. He does not currently know his father, but as soon as he is able, he wants to find him.
History[]
Cyril was raised as royalty despite no one knowing who his father was other than his mother. His mother demanded and commanded respect, so the court ignored that he was not only half-human, but a bastard child. He was taught and trained as tradition of the Blood Crown exclusively by his mother. In fact, she took special care to raise him within a pocket dimension in Astral Chaos that had an accelerated time speed. Because of this, his training began within his first month of birth. Within the time bubble, it felt as though 18 years had passed. Outside of the time bubble, however, only a year had passed. She had wanted him to be grown enough to defend himself against the other vampiric noble families After this, Cyril spent the rest of his time outside of the It was during this time, he began to question his mother, Mary, about his father. She only told him that he was human, and that if anyone ever found out who he was, he'd likely be killed. This answer never satisfied Cyril. Even though he had his half-brother, Zachariah, he felt left out of the whole family.
Two years later, Cyril's mother was busy with more Human-world affairs. He knew this was the perfect time to leave and find his father.
Personality[]
Cyril is a very outgoing and is protective, borderline possessive, of the people he cares about. Despite his more extroverted tendencies, he can be very sassy, snarky, and sarcastic and has no qualms about being rude to people that annoy him. Because of his fighting techniques and also because he is a bit vain, Cyril will sometimes come across as egotistical or arrogant; don't worry though, it's just part of his charm! He also has something of a short fuse on his anger, becoming aggressive quite easily, and even sadistic sometimes.

Cyril uses twin daggers carved from special metal in Astral Chaos, similar to his mother's sword. They are named "Robin and Highway" a reference to Robin Hood, a story he really enjoys. His fighting style is very quick and precise with a distinct discipline that also utilizes some type of dark magic he learned from his mother, and a healthy drop of aggression. Like his mother, Cyril has a bit of a bloodlust that usually leads to him to using more hands-on attacks.
